Solid colour epoxy floors for commercial and industrial spaces
A clean, uniform epoxy finish built for daily work. Solid colour systems seal the concrete, brighten the space and make floors easier to keep clean.
A practical floor for working spaces
Solid colour epoxy is the workhorse of commercial flooring. It turns dusty, porous concrete into a sealed surface that resists oil, coolant, cleaners and tire marks. Grey, tan and other light colours are common in plants and warehouses because they reflect light and make spills easy to spot.
We use 100% solids epoxy for body coats where durability matters. Built at the right thickness, it handles forklifts, pallet jacks and carts far better than thin, paint-grade products made for light duty.
How we build the system
The slab is diamond ground to a profile the primer can grip. We fill cracks and pits, then apply a penetrating primer followed by one or more body coats. In high-wear areas we finish with a urethane topcoat, which adds abrasion and UV resistance so the colour holds up over time.
Aisle lines, walkways, equipment zones and hazard markings can be laid out in contrasting colours as part of the same install. Fine texture can be added to the topcoat where wet or oily conditions call for more grip.
Care and recoating
Daily care is simple. Sweep or dust mop to remove grit, then clean with an auto-scrubber or mop and a neutral cleaner. After years of traffic, the topcoat wears first. It can be abraded and recoated, which restores the finish without removing the full system.
How a solid colour epoxy system is built
Every layer has a job. Here's what goes down, from the slab up.
The primer locks into the ground concrete, the body coat adds colour and build, and the topcoat takes the wear.
- Each coat goes down at the specified thickness
- Cure times are planned into your schedule
- The full system is listed in your formal quote

Solid Colour Epoxy FAQ
How thick is a solid epoxy floor?
Thickness depends on the use. Light-duty rooms may get a thinner multi-coat system, while production floors get heavier body coats built for wheeled traffic. We specify the build after looking at the loads and traffic on the floor.
What drives the cost?
Floor size, slab condition, number of coats, topcoat choice and extras like striping or cove base. Repairs found during grinding can also change the scope. The instant estimate gives a starting range, and the final price is confirmed after a site assessment.
Will forklifts or hot tires damage it?
A properly built system with a suitable topcoat handles forklifts and carts well. Hot tire pickup is mostly a problem with thin, low-solids coatings. We match the system to the vehicles that actually use the floor.
Is it slippery when wet?
A smooth epoxy can be slippery with water or oil on it. In wet or oily zones we add a fine anti-slip aggregate to the topcoat, which improves grip while keeping the floor cleanable.
