Safety lines and floor markings for working facilities

Clear floor markings show people and vehicles where to go. We lay out and apply durable lines, walkways and symbols to your plan, on new coatings or existing concrete.

What we mark

We apply aisle lines, pedestrian walkways, forklift lanes, hazard striping, stop bars, crosswalks, parking stalls, arrows and stencilled symbols or text. Lines can also outline racking, equipment zones, staging areas, storage areas and keep-clear zones in front of panels and doors.

We work from your layout plan, safety program or drawings. If you do not have a plan yet, we walk the floor with you, measure it and mark proposed lines for your review before anything is applied. Colours and widths follow your plan.

Epoxy or urethane line paint

Epoxy line paint is thick and tough, and suits interior floors with forklift and cart traffic. Urethane line paint holds its colour better in sunlight and resists abrasion, so it works well near overhead doors, in parking structures and over existing urethane topcoats.

On a new coated floor, lines are often built into the system and sealed under the topcoat. Single-component traffic paint wears quickly under steel and polyurethane wheels, so we do not use it on working floors.

Prep keeps lines sharp

Lines fail when they are painted onto dusty or sealed concrete. We grind or abrade the line path, clean it, then mask with tape for crisp edges. On busy floors we work in sections, or on nights and weekends, so traffic keeps moving around the area being marked.

Lines that organize the floor

Aisles, walkways, crosswalks and hazard zones, laid out to your plan and built to last under traffic.

We lay out the plan with you, mask crisp edges and use durable line coatings rated for forklift traffic.

What the job includes

  • Site walk, measurement and layout review
  • Grinding or abrading of the line path
  • Masking for crisp, straight edges
  • Epoxy or urethane line paint application
  • Stencilled arrows, symbols, text and stop bars
  • Removal of old or outdated lines where required

How a project runs

Every project starts with an instant estimate or a call, then a site assessment and a written quote before any work is scheduled.

Questions

Safety Lines & Floor Markings FAQ

Can you mark lines on a floor that is not coated?

Yes. Lines can go on bare concrete once the line path is ground and cleaned. A sealed or polished floor also needs the line path abraded so the paint can bond.

Do you choose the colours and layout?

The colours and layout follow your plan or safety program. If you need help, we walk the floor with you and mark proposed lines for review, but the final layout is your decision.

How soon can traffic use the floor?

It depends on the product and the temperature. Foot traffic is often possible the same or next day, with forklifts after a longer cure. We give you specific times and close busy routes for as short a time as possible.

What affects the price?

Total linear footage, line width, number of colours, stencils and symbols, the prep needed and any old line removal. The instant estimate gives a starting range, and we confirm the price after a site assessment.
