Metallic epoxy floors for showrooms, lobbies and retail
Metallic pigments suspended in clear epoxy create a seamless floor with depth, movement and gloss. Each floor is one of a kind.
A decorative floor with real durability
Metallic epoxy uses fine metallic pigments mixed into a clear epoxy. As the resin is spread and worked, the pigments move and settle, creating swirls, veining and a three-dimensional look. The effect can be subtle and stone-like or bold and high-contrast.
Under the decorative layer, it is still an epoxy floor. It seals the slab, resists spills and handles regular foot traffic in public spaces. A clear urethane or polyaspartic topcoat protects the finish from scratches and UV yellowing.
What makes a good metallic install
Metallic systems show every flaw in the slab, so prep is critical. We grind, fill cracks and level low spots before priming. A tinted base coat sets the background colour, then the metallic coat is applied and worked by hand while it is still workable.
Because the look depends on installer technique, we review colour samples and finish references with you before work starts. Lighting, room size and traffic patterns all affect how the floor reads once it is complete.
Where metallic works best
Metallic is a fit for front-of-house areas where appearance matters: showrooms, retail, offices, restaurants and reception areas. It is not the right choice for heavy industrial traffic or areas with constant abrasive grit. Some residential basements use it too, but most of our metallic work is commercial.
How a metallic epoxy system is built
Every layer has a job. Here's what goes down, from the slab up.
Metallic pigment moves in the wet epoxy and sets into a one-of-a-kind marble pattern, protected by a clear topcoat.
- Each coat goes down at the specified thickness
- Cure times are planned into your schedule
- The full system is listed in your formal quote
Pick your colour
Tap any colour to see it on a floor. Physical samples and full fan decks come to every site assessment.

Metallic Epoxy FAQ
Will my floor look exactly like the sample?
It will be close in colour and style, but metallic floors are worked by hand, so each one is unique. We review samples and finish photos with you so expectations are clear before we start.
How durable is metallic epoxy in a busy retail space?
With a good topcoat it handles regular foot traffic well. Grit tracked in from outside is the main cause of scratching, so entry mats and routine sweeping make a real difference. The topcoat can be refreshed later without redoing the full system.
What drives the cost of a metallic floor?
Area, slab condition, how much leveling is needed, number of colours and topcoat choice. Metallic takes more skilled labour than a solid colour floor. Use the instant estimate for a starting point, and we confirm after seeing the space.
Can metallic epoxy go in sunlit areas?
Yes, with the right topcoat. Epoxy on its own tends to yellow under UV, so areas with strong sunlight need a UV-stable topcoat. Epoxy is not suited to exterior use.
